Reducing emissions from social housing

Reducing emissions from social housing has been developed as a single, comprehensive source of information for housing management organisations across the UK. If you're a housing professional, our free online guide could help you save energy, time and money.

This guide is intended for housing stock managers and staff in local authorities, housing associations and private landlords across the UK. It aims to provide all the information you require to develop and implement an energy efficiency strategy to improve the energy efficiency of your housing stock. This will enable you to:

- Provide more affordable warmth for tenants.
- Reduce carbon dioxide emissions, one of the major causes of climate change.
- Improve the condition and value of your stock whilst reducing maintenance and other costs.

Reducing emissions from social housing was developed by the Energy Saving Trust. It is endorsed by the Welsh Assembly Government, Community Housing Cymru and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA).

This guide is split into chapters, you can select a chapter to download or click on more info for a summary. There is an introduction for each country in the UK which explains the particular background and importance of this guidance for housing managers in each nation.
