Fruit and vegetables are easy to grow yourself with a little know-how. Not only does growing your own save you money, but it’s more organic too. So whether you have a large garden or a small patio, start growing fresh produce that can then be used in tasty summer recipes.

Buy organic

If growing your own isn’t an option, buying organic is another great alternative. Organic farming is lighter on the environment and buying locally will also naturally lessen your carbon footprint, taking out the need for personal travel. Why not locate your nearest organic stockist and find out how organic food can really add to your summer menu.

 

Cook at a slower pace

With temperatures outside reaching up to 30 degrees, the thought of standing over a hot stove for hours may not be appealing. A low carbon alternative is the ‘ Hay Box’ slow cooker.
