Housebuilding company Lovell has completed another sustainable construction development at a block of high-rise flats in the West Midlands.
Large-scale external improvement work was undertaken at Mountford House in West Bromwich as part of Sandwell Homes' £80 million initiative to modernise 44 high-rise blocks.
The project, which took 12 months to complete, involved the installation of new windows and insulated render, both of which highlight the importance of energy efficiency in buildings.
Ian Jones, Lovell's operations manager, said the company has an "excellent relationship" with Mountford House's residents.
"These improvements will make a big difference to the lives of everyone living in these flats," he commented.
The scheme also involved the building to two new flats, while a complete upgrade to the building's electrical systems was also completed.
Elsewhere, Lovell has been chosen to complete a further sustainable building project in Paisley.
The £4.3 million project involves updating 53 tenement flats, with construction work expected to draw to a close next summer.
